James was trained at The Drama Centre, London. He is currently in the ensemble in Mamma Mia.
Theatre: Jack in Review, Grantaire, Combefere and Javert in Les Miserables, Gus/Growltiger and Bustopher Jones in Cats, The Bed before Yesterday, The Ldondon Merchant, Windows Houses, Richard Lioheart in The Lion in Winter, Lord Byron in Haunted, Ivor Novello's King's Rhapsody, South Pacific, understudying and playing Lt. Cable, Kiss Me Kate, The Pirates of Penzance with Paul Nicholas, Galaxy of Song, Francesco in Leonardo and the villain in Pantomime.
Television and video: Les Miserables - 10th Anniversary Concert, he was asked by Gillian Lynne to recreate the role of Bustopher Jones in Cats-the Video, 'Allo 'Allo, Home to Roost, Shelley, The Endless Game, Tabs Tales, West Country Tales, Three Up, Two Down; and Laura and Disorder.
