Michael Gruber (Munkustrap)

Michael Gruber was born on lst, November, 1964 and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was once an American diver and he was second in the world when he was 14. But afterwards he knew music was what he wanted so he transferred to the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati.
Michael describes himself as "quiet, withdrawn, private, and reflective", and he tries very hard to be a kind individual all alone.
For Michael, success is defined by the wonderful moment you learn something about yourself or you realise you did something you didn't think you could do.
Michael has done the Munkustrap part both on Broadway and in Cats video. Michael does feel that he did master the role of Munkustrap, and Gillian Lynne (Associate Director and Choreographer) said he was the best Munkustrap. Michael thinks CATS video is sort of the signature of his career, and he got the encouragement from Andrew Lloyd Webber to continue composing and writing on his project which is based on the martyrdom of a woman called Hypatia during 415 AD.
In the competition of "Who is the most popular male performer" in the Internet, he is just below Michael Ball.
He played a really good Munkstrap, very tender and yet strong. I feel he always looks smiling, which is very lovable.
